APPLICATIONS

The M1 Linear Flow, Linear Control (LFLC) piston valve features dual control chambers.

The piston is mounted in a special volute with control action parallel to the flow.

The M1 valve is manufactured from light-weight, durable, precision-molded Nylon12 GR (50% glass fiber). Polypropylene valve is available to meet special fluid requirements.

The M1 Series supports:
 

  • DN100, DN150
  • DN200, DN250, DN300 and DN400 in a Multi Valve application: a manifold with two, three, four or six valves units controlled by one pilot.
  • Adjustable inlets and outlets for different pipe diameters with various connections to line.


The M1 valve is available as Normally Closed (NC) or Normally Open (NO).
 
  • Normally Closed (NC) Valve: venting the opening chamber causes the valve to close.
  • Normally Open (NO) Valve: venting the closing chamber causes the valve to open.


Normally Closed (NC) Valve:
 
  • Open Position
    Internal fluid passages provide constant pressure to the closing chamber, on both the front and back pistons, creating a constant closing force. Applying pressure to the opening chamber, together with the upstream pressure applied to the actuator, creates sufficient thrust to overcome the closing force and open the valve.
  • Closed Position
    Internal fluid passages provide constant pressure to the closing chamber, on both the front and back pistons, creating a constant closing force. Venting the opening chamber releases the opening force, allowing the valve to close.
  • Modulating
    Control is applied by either venting or supplying fluid to the open control chamber, providing drive to adjust the actuator to the required position, maintaining the preset parameter.
